Persistence

June 27, 2010

“you can’t have someone else do your push-ups for you”….anonymous

Hard work and persistence is seen as a vital reason to success and just as in sports, elite performance in any task is always the result of continuous practice.

As the Wimbledon tennis tournament takes place in England, take Roger Federer for example, yes he does have talent, but his success is attributed to his rigorous practice habits. Krishna Bharat, an employee at Google, once searched the Internet on a daily basis looking for specific news topics and decided to start “Google news” which turned into one of Google’s current applications

I recently watched Janey Cutler on Britain’s Got Talent. She is an Irish woman who is gaining fame on the show….all at the age of 80!

Just listening to this lady sing gave me the chills – her frail outlook provided no indication to the powerful voice that she projects.

Janey Cutler

If I compare Janey Cutler to an entrepreneur, which she really is, she wasn’t afraid at the age 80 to use her natural abilities and training to achieve her success. She wasn’t afraid to take a shot.
